Trailbound Alaska "The Film"
On a mission to rediscover trails in his Alaskan backyard, dyslexic filmmaker and painter Max Romey explores a historic trail, and its wild history. With a sketchbook and a pair of shoes, he makes the first likely attempt in decades to connect the once well-traveled trails of the Southern Trek of the Historic Iditarod route from Seward back home to Anchorage.

Materials and Supplies
I love art supplies, but I also love to rock what I've got. In this video we'll run through the materials and supplies I am using. However, you can sketch along without these. You could even do this entire series on your iPad (if you have one).

Seward Spring
Seward, Alaska, is a gateway into the KMTA Corridor and one of my favorite places to explore with my family. Eve, Kip and I head down to Seward nearly once a month and hiking along the shoreline is a window into the natural world that makes this part of Alaska magical and playful! Especially the sea otters! Who are my favorite. characters of the ocean! Let’s dive in!

Have you summered in Seward? If not, I hope this tutorial inspires you to add it to the travel bucket list! When you do make it to Seward, you must explore Mount Marathon! If you would like to learn why, well, grab your supplies! Join me on a watercolor painting adventure where I hope you feel free to add your own imagination to our time together!

Seward has a wild past and it’s kind of a miracle it stands today! Today’s tutorial is beefy and actually includes TWO lessons that look at the present and past of this special town.

Seward Mile Zero
In this tutorial we end at the beginning of the historical Iditarod Trail. A place that really peaks my curiosity every time I am able to visit this part of the KMTA Corridor. I am excited to bring you with me on this painting adventure that will explore Mile Zero.

Whittier Alaska is hidden gem that acts like a gateway to the best of the KMTA. A magical and historical port with something for everyone.
